NYC Port Company Becomes the Largest Free Zone Procurement Company
With its purchase budget of 7,8 billion dollars, NYC Cruise Company becomes the world’s largest free zone procurement company.
NYC Cruise Company, which was purchased by the Dubai Sheik El Maktum for 55 Billion Dollars, becomes the world’s largest free zone procurement company with its purchase budget of 7,8 billion dollars. The Company plans to make distributions from three centers which are the Dubai Rak Free Zone, the Hong Kong Free Zone and the Izmir Espaş Free Zone.
The Company’s name has changed as Emaar NYC after the purchase of Nyc by El Maktum.
The Dubai Sheik, El Maktum, purchased 49% and the Managerial Rights of the NYC Cruise Company by paying 55 billion dollars.

El Maktum also paid the 52 billions dollars of leasing debt that NYC’s 101 Cruise ships owe to the Bank of America. At the same time, Rashid El Maktum opened a 4,5 Billion Dollars worth Port Investment Tender in order to turn Dubai into a Cruise exiting center. It is planned that the port envisaged for construction will also have the capacity for serving 14 Cruise ships.
